Grant for Community Ambassador: Alex Phelps

Proposal

Request a recurring grant from the Community Treasury for a Rally Community Ambassador: Alex Phelps.

This position would be funded from:

1. $RLY grant from the Advisors and Collaborators pool (awarded monthly)
2. Monthly fee from the Community Treasury

Purpose Phelps has shown great care in fostering Rally community members across Creators, developers, staff, and end users of the network from the first day of contact with the community. He has relevant experience in sales and customer support, as well as a deep passion to help creators. This experience and demonstrated values uniquely qualify him to build with and support Rally Creators and their communities.

With that, this proposal requests an $RLY grant from the Advisors and Collaborators pool as well as an engagement from the Community Treasury for work and services in support of the Rally community.

Phelps will be responsible for working with Rally team members on Creator support, Community Management, and fostering of Developers in the following areas:

Community

• Take on primary administration duties of Discord and Discourse
• Providing Weekly summaries from Discord/ Discourse on state of the community
• Proactively managing Community conversations and own standard processes related to community management that begin to emerge as the community grows.

Creators

• Support the transition of all Creators from proposal to onboarding via Registry watch & Coordination

Bounty Deputy

• As the first acting Bounty Deputy, help connect the ideas and needs of Creators with the Bounty deliverables from developers.
• Help evaluate developer contributions and transition them into easily accessible places for the community
• Be the voice of developer needs where possible and raise Creator community feedback to the Marshal and the rest of the Developer program team
• Support the growth of the developer community through community outreach

Summary Ambassador arrangement is as follows:

• 300,000 $RLY spread monthly across the 6 month period from Advisors and Collaborators pool (with ability to terminate) -$4,500 / mo community management services for an initial period of 6 months (paid by Community Treasury)

A Yes vote for this proposal would accomplish the following:

Starting 11-10-2020:

• Deploy 50,000 $RLY per month for 6 months of completed service from the Advisors and Collaborators pool to: 0x3da46013D3b6e40Fa845626823450d6796932abA
• Deploy $4,500k/mo in equivalent funds from the Community Treasury to the same wallet for a period of 6 months and completed service requirements.
