Purpose: Establishing what the community’s quorum for a vote to be considered valid and actionable.
Overview: Setting an appropriate level of community engagement is important towards proposals that are proposed to move the community and overall project in a particular direction.
The current quorum level that has been used for the last two proposals has been set to 100. For both proposals given the state of the project there was no previous basis to establish what an appropriate quorum should be. This same quorum level will be used for Proposals 3 & 4.
Setting a quorum that is too high or too low could create a potential problem. If the quorum is set too high then even a positive unanimous vote would not be considered valid. While a quorum that is too low could allow for a proposal that doesn’t have significant community consensus to pass without substantial backing.
Based on the last two proposals the four following options seem appropriate for the time being.
Note - At a later time, the community could request for the quorum level to be increased or decreased via a proposal.
