Summary:

After producing three seasons of the Rehash Podcast and attracting a talented slate of guests and Web3 marketers, Rehash is uniquely positioned to evolve into a Service DAO. Creating a Service DAO will allow Rehash to leverage its network of creators to create compelling narratives for our customers and continue to grow engagement and adoption of Web3.

Service DAOs are a new type of DAO that, at the risk of stating the obvious, provide specialized services to other organizations -- primarily Web3-based organizations, including other DAOs. Service DAOs are an opportunity to reinvent the Web2 gig economy by creating transparent and fair relationships between freelance workers and organizations. DAOs give workers ownership over the structure of their relationships with both the organization and the service marketplace or DAO. (What if drivers owned Uber, or designers owned Fiverr?)

These organizations are very early and require specialized operational playbooks and skills to launch. Onboarding this role will bring experienced Service DAO talent to Rehash to help launch the DAO and create playbooks for growth and scale. Catjam (aka Meg Lister) is VP of DAO at Flipside Crypto and has experience in launching and leading service DAOs, including MetricsDAO. She contributed to Index Coop for over a year and was elected to serve on the Index Council.

How will this role be effective?

This role will focus on operations and governance needed for Service DAO launch and growth, including the following:

Service DAO Ops:

• Help develop and document processes for:
  • Onboarding creators to the service DAO
  • Onboarding web3 projects we decide to work with
  • Project management from onboarding to completion of all deliverables
  • Example: RaidGuild’s processes documented on github
• Help develop service request and fulfillment model for creators and clients, including incentive mechanisms based on quality and continuity of work
• Help develop compensation model and mechanism for creators and clients

Compensation

For the first few months, compensation will be within a range of $1,500 - $2,250, based on an hourly rate of $75/hr, paid in either ETH or USDC. (Dealer/DAO’s choice!) Compensation will also include a Rehash Fren NFT. Hours will be boxed to 20-30 per month in order to set reasonable expectations for DAO expenses. As we figure out the ongoing responsibilities for this position, we can reevaluate compensation accordingly.
