RIP-23: Transaction Fee Burn

SUMMARY: This proposal outlines a weekly, automatic burn of 100% of ResearchHub Foundation's tokens collected from transaction fees (currently 2% on funding and bounties).

MOTIVATION: Aligns ResearchHub Foundation with the greater community. It reinforces ResearchHub Foundation’s role as a neutral, community-first protocol steward rather than a rent-seeking middle layer.

PROPOSAL:

• Source of Funds: 100% of ResearchHub Foundation’s fees collected from on platform transactions (currently 2% platform fee but subject to change)
• Mechanism: All accumulated RSC will be sent every 7 days to the null address (0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000)
• Monitoring: Burns can be monitored onchain

  • To: Null Address (0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000)

EXPECTED IMPACT:

• Positive: Drives stronger tokenomics, and demonstrates commitment to the community.
• Risks: Removes a revenue stream for the Foundation’s operations.
