Appeal GMC Decision on BA082401 (RPIP-38) and reject Eigenlayer integration bounty

Voting ended almost 2 years agoDefeated

This vote, the first in a pair of connected votes, is to determine whether or not to reject the funding of BA082401 outright.

BA082401 allocates $10,000 USD from the GMC for a bounty to research and report on a possible Eigenlayer integration for Rocket Pool nodes, and allocates an additional $50,000 USD towards its development, pending review of the research.

Rationale

Funding an integration with Eigenlayer has the potential to attract many node operators, but also the potential to create additional risks to rETH holders. The decision whether to pursue this integration is important and contentious enough to warrant involvement of the whole pDAO.

Outcomes

  • This vote passes: BA082401 shall not be funded.
  • This vote fails, paired vote passes: BA0824010 shall be rewritten to include only Milestone 0 and funding shall be limited to $10k.
  • This vote fails and paired vote fails: BA0824010 shall be funded as passed by the GMC.
