Treasury Buyback

Voting ended over 3 years agoSucceeded

Summary

Allocate 5 ETH from the Community Treasury to purchase a Genesis Key and multiple editions of Desperado.

Abstract

As RŌHKI grows, it's important that the Treasury has underlying exposure to all assets in the wider ecosystem.

This proposal looks to seed the Treasury with both a Genesis Key, and all Tiers of Episode 1 - Desperado.

Beyond collecting one of each, the Treasury should set a strong precedent that the community is reinvesting in its own creations.

Any ETH remaining beyond the Genesis Key and each Tier of Desperado will be used to collect Episodes currently listed on the floor.

Motivation

The Treasury - found at 0x00189c51bC75c52Db15B95d77a0bBaA258d707E5 - currently only holds ETH.

Purchasing all the underlying assets in the RŌHKI ecosystem is a great way to seed the DAO with exposure to what’s been released, and a precedent for what’s to come.

It’s important that the community is largely made of strong holders. This proposal is a way to signal our commitment and repurchase Episodes from those who have listed on the secondary market - especially those below list price.

While not a permanent solution, this proposal aims to be the first in a series of governance actions aimed at giving more confidence to holders.

Specification

Use 5 ETH from the Community Treasury to purchase items from the following collections.

  • Genesis Key
  • Desperado

The ETH allocated is estimated to roughly be spent as follows:

  • Genesis Key (1)
  • Desperado Static (10)
  • Desperado Dynamic (5)
  • Desperado Immersive (1)

Any unused ETH will be used to purchase whatever assets are listed at the floor.

A detailed breakdown of purchases will be shared in Discord following the completion of the purchase.
