Enhancing Genesis Rug NFT Utility and Rewarding Long-term Holders

Introduction: This proposal aims to provide additional incentives for long-term holders and collectors of Rug Radio Genesis NFTs, beyond the token yield period. By rewarding complete set holders with lifetime utility and exclusive access to a dedicated Discord channel, we intend to foster a deeper collector mindset, encourage trading, and strengthen community engagement.

Objectives:

1. Incentivize long-term holding of Genesis Rug NFTs beyond the token yield period.
2. Encourage a collector mindset and gamification layer for Rug Radio Genesis NFT holders.
3. Establish an exclusive Discord channel for complete set holders to engage in focused discussions.
4. Promote an environment of trading and collecting, allowing assets to change hands in pursuit of complete sets.

Complete Set Rewards:

Exclusive Discord Channel Access: ● Complete set holders gain access to a token-gated Discord channel, fostering closer connections with other large holders and highly convicted Rug Radio Genesis NFT holders.

Monthly $Rug Token Claims for Complete 16 Meme Set Holders (Horizontal): ● Eligible holders must have held their complete sets for at least 30 days and qualified on the previous month's snapshot. ● Claims cover multiple complete sets held by the same wallet for each month's snapshot.

Monthly $Rug Token Claims for Complete 4 Card Role Set Holders (Vertical): ● Eligible holders must have held their complete sets for at least 30 days and qualified on the previous month's snapshot. ● Claims cover multiple complete sets held by the same wallet for each month's snapshot. Implementation: This proposal will require the development of smart contracts, including snapshots and claim availability, in coordination with Syndicate. The Rug DAO Treasury will fund the work and the claimed $Rug tokens. The proposal's launch is estimated to occur 3-6 months after the snapshot vote approval. The claiming process will be integrated into the existing Syndicate Rug Token Claim site, allowing holders to claim their rewards without staking requirements.

Estimated Costs: Per consultation with the core team, this proposal will not have any additional cost outside what has already been budgeted for web development in the current 6 month LRP.

Impact Assessment: Based on available set numbers and current holder count, the total amount of tokens to be claimed per month would be 129,300. However, a more accurate estimate would account for 5-10% of this number due to the system's dynamics. As the Rug Radio ecosystem evolves and more $Rug tokens enter the Rug DAO treasury, the payouts for these rewards should be sustainable.
