There are a lot of open discussions right now about the future of RVRS. The core team has several ideas, and community members have been active in discussing where and what we should launch.
This is a big discussion, and one we shouldn't rush. Before we continue spending hundreds of unpaid man-hours working together as a community to iron out the details of our future product, we need to verify the community is motivated and committed to sticking together and pushing through with a singular plan.
We are currently in a position where the market is drastically different than it was when we set out on the path to launch veRVRS. It is good to always be re-evaluating our product market fit. It is apparent that if we were to re-start RVRS as it is, in current market conditions, the amount of income we could feasibly and safely generate via yield farming would probably not do much more than merely cover man hours needed to operate RVRS. Thus, we believe it would be the best course of action to re-orient RVRS into a new product which can support new users, and generate income.
In light of this, we are going to have this vote live for 2 weeks to give everyone plenty of opportunity to weigh in on the vote.
The vote is simple:
Option 1: Unwind the Treasury and pay it out to everyone per the snapshot taken prior to pulling liquidity. Currently that will look like about 2.6¢/RVRS.
Option 2: Continue forward as a community to leverage the Treasury to help us build into the future and launch with a viable product.
There are many options for where this could go, and in the end it'll be up to the community to decide how we move forward - major decisions will always be put to vote. The core team will take leadership in helping navigate this project in a viable direction.
While we do have a committed core team willing to drive the bus in accordance with the community's desires, we will have to source additional, external dev talent to perform some of the work needed, specifically around solidity. We have a handful of potential devs that some members can refer us to once we commit to moving forward, but they are not guarantees.
