Objective Allocate 2eth from the treasury to buy pirates. I have slowly been making connections with other projects but have nothing but exposure to offer them. These pirates would be used as offerings for future project collabs, contest giveaways and general bargaining chips. Any pirates the project has right now are already allocated for other purposes.
Percentage of DAO Budget 1.8% of DAO budget
Pros To have the DAO aid in our own Web3 Marketing efforts by using pirates to give away in collaboration efforts. Now that we have already minted, our nfts and exposure are the only two things we can offer, exposure will probably not be enough to entice potential valuable partners. For engagement purposes, contests and giveaways, it would be nice to have a few pirates to be able to give away.
Cons We do only have 111eth in the treasury so we would need to make sure that we maximize the pirate purchases by buying floor pirates, and the partnerships we choose to use must be carefully chosen. Some also may see this move as desperate?
Summary @cleaves from No Standing is taking the lead on our Web3 Marketing efforts and has some awesome things in the works. One arm of that marketing effort should be potential collaborations to get some eyes on us from other projects. One of the ways we can do that is by offering our own NFTs as bargaining chips for them to give away to their community. Having some pirates in the DAO's arsenal for giveaways can also be used for community engagement purposes in the future.
