Proposal 14: Web 3 Marketing Round 1

Title: Web3 Marketing - Round 1 Expenditure Approval

Objective: Use 14eth of previously agreed 25eth DAO funds from the treasury commence Round1 of Web3 marketing via influencers

% of DAO budget: 11.8% of DAO budget (56% of DAO-approved marketing budget)

Pros: Layering in a round of marketing between our current faction effort and the Zeneca interview will start building momentum and credibility. Our faction efforts have largely been community shill which has been vital to get SPC in front of as many eyes as possible. Adding influencers now means people who have seen us start to actually take notice as those influencers that they look up to also start promoting us. Also, spending only a portion of the budget means that we can layer in another round close to, or after the Zeneca interview to continue the momentum as we head into Chapter 3.

Cons: We still do not know if this will succeed, however we, as a DAO, voted to spend 25eth, so this is part 1 of that spend. Also, there have been several influencers with much larger audiences that we have not yet succeeded in reaching. If/when we reach them, we may lack enough balance in our budget to engage them. However, it is envisaged that by this time, we will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of Round 1 and then consider as a DAO whether we vote to use additional DAO funds if we decide there is value in doing so. Leaving 11eth in the budget still leaves us in a good position for Round 2.

Summary: A dedicated team from the community have been evaluating and reaching out over 40 influencers. The table below shows those influencers who have been agreed upon and highly rated as a team for their quality of audience and posts plus they have (so far) responded with their offers. The total shown for each influencer is for them to do 10 posts each about our project. The 16eth spend will give us 3 highly credible influencers posting about us at the same time for 10 posts each. As we near the end of these posts, we can evaluate what worked vs 'could do better' and implement this into Round 2.

Condition: The Web3 community will iron out the structure with influencers if this is approved as well as base material to be covered off in their promotions. The marketing push will be timed to occur as we near completion of the faction push yet before the Zeneca interview is released.

Quorum of 100 (so even if we hit a majority vote, if less than 100 people vote, the proposal fails) Users can now vote; voting period of 24 hours is live with no vote delay Voting weight is based on how many SPCs you own i.e. 1 SPC = 1 vote or 10 SPCs = 10 votes.
