Description

Members of the omgkirbyDAO “Operations Working Group” will participate in five (5) facilitated working group engagements. The objective of these engagements will be to develop a succinct and operationalizable White Paper with community buy-in and a fully functioning governance process. To achieve this end, the Operations Working Group will use the interim omgkirbyDAO Lite Paper as a reference document, and each of the facilitated engagements will focus on a key section / governance area that needs established policies, protocols and procedures. At the end of the five engagements, the Operations Working Group will publish the omgkirby DAO White Paper, and put it to a community vote for approval as the DAOs constitutive governing document.

The five facilitated working group sessions will be organized as follows:

Engagement One: Lite Paper Review and Round Table Discussion
Engagement Two: Governance Decisions, Proposal Pathways, Voting Power and Voting Thresholds
Engagement Three: Working Groups, Sub DAOs and Community-Led Initiatives
Engagement Four: Human Resource Policy, Procedures and Treasury Management
Engagement Five: Mock Governance Session

Deliverables/Goals

The final deliverable of the Operations Working Group will be a published White Paper.

The proposed budget for our Session 2 Operations covers the expected costs of maintaining our current community, as well as managing the day-to-day for any Working Groups being created.

Community Manager, 8 Weeks = 3.6 ETH
Moderator 1, 8 Weeks = .8 ETH
Moderator 2, 8 Weeks = .8 ETH
Twitter Spaces Manager, 8 Weeks = $1,600

Total = 5.2 ETH + $1,600

Main Concerns

Ambitious task, will take coordination to pull off successfully
We've had issues wit scheduling in the past, need to find an easy way to ensure we are able to meet with the WG members, and delegate tasks accordingly
The publication of a white paper will require this group to make difficult decisions, even when there isn't a clear precedent to follow (ie: voting quorum, etc.)
