SGP-11 – Accept Ownership Transfer of Katana Contracts to Spectra DAO

Summary

This proposal seeks to transfer ownership of Spectra's deployed contracts on Katana from Perspective SAS to Spectra DAO. This marks the protocol’s formal expansion to Katana, which is aligned with Spectra's expansion strategy.

Context & Motivation

Katana went live in late June 2025 and has reached ~$178M USD in TVL in a matter of days and achieved a daily DEX volume of ~$7,3M USD. Katanas main USP is asset rehypothecation and implementing a ve(3,3)-system ("vKAT") on a chain level, so that users can refactor liquidity from mainnet and facilitate use cases like "Re-Lending" or "Re-Liquidity-Provisioning", conceptually similar in economical terms, to how "Restaking" works.

This new layer of rehypothecation on a chain-level allows for increased capital efficiency. This should allow Spectra to capture a portion of the rehypothecated liquidity.

Specification:

Perspective SAS proposes deploying Spectra’s core contracts on Katana, replicating the configuration used on Ethereum Mainnet. This deployment will enable Spectra users to tokenize, trade, and fix interest rates for interest-bearing tokens.

Next Steps:

Perspective SAS will submit the vote on Snapshot, if there are no constructive objections.

If Spectra DAO members approve the proposal, Perspective SAS will proceed with deployment on Katana and transfer contract ownership to the Spectra DAO wallet on Katana.
