SIP #3: Changing the Sector Finance protocol-owned liquidity two-sided LP from SECT/USDC to SECT/ETH

Voting ended almost 3 years agoSucceeded

Summary: We are proposing to change the Sector Finance protocol-owned liquidity (“POL”) two-sided LP from SECT/USDC to SECT/ETH. This request for feedback is to gather community input on the proposed change.

Abstract: The protocol's liquidity pool currently consists of SECT/USDC. We propose moving the pool to entirely SECT/ETH to improve our liquidity position.

Motivation: The proposed change aims to improve the overall liquidity health of the Sector Finance protocol. By moving POL into ETH, we hope to lower impermanent loss and attract more traders and liquidity providers leading to increased trading revenue and stability on our POL.

Specification: The proposed change would convert the Sector Finance protocol-owned liquidity pool entirely to SECT/ETH.

Supporting Evidence: Given the demand for ETH-based trading pairs and impermanent loss risks associated with 100% of SECT POL backed by USDC, the protocol aims to capture increased trading revenue and more stability on our POL.

Implementation: If the RFF is successful and the proposed change is approved, we plan to implement the change when market conditions support it.
