To improve the SharkDAO's ability to participate in Nouns DAO governance, and take pressure off the multisig team –therefore allowing the multisig to add more security.
There is a function in the Nouns contract to delegate votes from a noun to another wallet.
We should pair the Nouns DAO representitive role with the responsibility to carry out SharkDAO's voting in Nouns DAO, but delegating our nouns votes to the representitive's wallet.
All of SharkDAO's votes should still be decided by snapshot, but instead of requiring the multisig to execute the vote (which currently means coordinating 3 members in 24 hours or less), the representitive will carry out SharkDAO's wishes.
If the delegate ever willfully acts against the wishes of Shark DAO, the multisig shall revoke the delegation and any other responsibilites or access to DAO resources may be stripped.
For now we should delegate to Goldy, the current Nouns DAO rep, as a test for the system out until the new delegate is chosen.
Soon the ability to delegate voting to multiple wallets will become availble (The Nounders team are developing a module for this) which means we can take further pressure off a single delegate and decentralise further if we wish.
Pros: -Less pressure on multisig team to coordinate -Cheaper (gnosis safe transactions are expensive) -Should result in an increase in Nouns DAO governance participation from SharkDAO, which was one of the compelling reasons to start a DAO vs using franctional.art to buy a noun, and give us more power/control/input over the system we are taking part in. -The less tasks we leave to the multisig team (and more we decentralise) the more we can get done.
Cons: –Trust in a single person means increased liklihood that they go rogue and vote against Shark DAO's wishes. The scope in which this can impact the DAO is fairly minimal and the power can be revoked quite easily.
