Every organization needs a mission and a set of values. We hope these values will allow our organization to grow along with the NFT and DAO communities.

Mission Statement

Sharks are a Web3 community that collects Nouns, grows the NounsDAO ecosystem, and partners with artists, developers, and DAOs to build new blockchain experiences.

Here at SharkDAO, we BITE. Not with our teeth, but with our actions and values:

Building: Community and culture. Interesting: Fun, silly, and different. Transparent: Open and inclusive. Experiences: Moments we share.

Pros:

• Building is a long term value that will sustain us through long journeys.
• A focus on the fun and different should be a reality check for us if we ever become too formulaic.
• Operating with openness and transparency is radically different from other DAOs. Most DAOs that you can join work within opaque Discord channels. Openness inspires confidence and promotes information symmetry.

Cons:

• Focusing on building may prevent us from pursuing other revenue-generating schemes, like flipping.
• Being different can be controversial.
• Being inclusive could lead to a collective action problem.
• Being transparent exposes us to parasites who actively work against us.
