SharkDAO Commemorative NFT

Purpose:

This proposal is asking to acquire funding for the creation of 3 commemorative SharkDAO NFT’s and is asking for 5 ETH from the treasury to get this made.

Explanation:

Right after acquisition of noun 2 by SharkDAO there were plenty of talks brewing about creating a commemorative NFT. At the time we were moving very fast and people were pouring into the DAO by the minute. Now that things have cooled off this is the perfect opportunity to get something like this done. This is something we want to make so that people can get an NFT to commemorate our noun acquisitions.

Not only that but this would be our first NFT project, something to kick it all off.

The three NFT’s that will be made are the following:

• One for those who were in the DAO before the purchase of noun 2
• One for those of who were in the DAO before the purchase of noun 5.
• One for those who were in the DAO before the purchase of noun 15.

These costs are to pay the artist (currently Coral Orca [1]) and developer (currently Rayo [2]) for the creation of the art, the custom smart contract and its deployment.

Distribution:

These will not be airdropped! The way that these will be distributed would be through a minting window. Currently the thought is to create a one week window for people to mint their commemorative NFT. So yes you will have to pay gas to mint however there is no actual price to mint. A similar example would be the mintpass from pixelvault.

If you were in the dao before the purchase of all three nouns you would be eligible to mint all three of the commemorative NFTs. This same logic applies to those who got in after noun 2 but before noun 5, they would be able to get the noun 15 commemorative nft as well.

Royalties:

2.5% minimum royalties on transactions will be paid to SharkDAO’s treasury.

Pros:

• We get a cool NFT
• It’s our first NFT, dipping our shark toes into the shark infested waters.

Cons:

• Cost of ETH

Voting YES on this proposal:

• 5 eth will be granted for the creation of commemorative SharkDAO NFT’s

Voting NO on this proposal:

• 5 eth will not be granted for the creation of commemorative SharkDAO NFT’s, thus they will not be created.
