Delay Acidheadz for lower gas price or launch as soon as possible?

We all have a love/hate relationship with Ethereum. But these days we are mostly mad at the exorbitant transaction fees required to use the network. When we set out to launch Acidheadz, the price of gas was ~50 gwei. In the last few days, it has skyrocketed to 200 gwei.

For your reference, here is the approximate cost of minting 2 Acidheadz by burning 1 “Low” rarity shroomz: 0.066 ETH or $280 at 200 gwei. This cost scales linearly with gas price and when burning more rare shroomz for more Acidheadz: up to $1,000+ to burn rare shroomz in a high gas price environment.

Question: should we delay Acidheadz for lower gas price or launch as soon as possible? Is lower gas price more or less important than launching Acidheadz as soon as possible? Which of the following would you prefer?

1. Delay the launch of Acidheadz until gas prices settle down closer to 100 gwei, knowing that this could take weeks
2. Launch Acidheadz as soon as possible regardless of gas prices
