To support Skatehive’s web platforms (skatehive.app, my.skatehive.app, and beta.skatehive.app), I’ve been paying monthly for:

• IPFS pinning and storage
• Bandwidth overages
• Gateway and CDN requests

Traffic data shows ~87% of all IPFS usage is from Skatehive-related domains.

Good News

Recently we have implemented hive images for most of the images of the app, unless its a mag post (in the future the high quality image uploads will be a feature for holders of hive power and nft holders). More importantly Web-Gnar discovered an very efficient way of reducing the size of images and videos in the new skatehive.app without harming the quality, he managed to do that even with all the experienced devs telling him it would be too hard and costful. Thanks web-gnar. That will probably leave us with just the standard costs of 20 USD a month.
