I’m Kai Ujejski, a professional snowboarder based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
With over 16 years of experience in the snowboard industry, I bring expertise in riding, video editing, and marketing.
I'm enthusiastic about collaborating with both Alps & Gnars to bring more shredders onchain, more attention to the brands and showcase all the amazing stuff that is being built here.
I plan to consistently release weekly content on social media for 6 consecutive months from December 2023 to May 2024. Not only on my social medias, which bring in on average 100k monthly impressions (sometimes way more), but also all of my sponsors social medias (Dinosaurs Will Die Snowboards, Union Binding Co, Stance Socks, Salmon Arms Gloves, Ashbury Eyewear & Nolan Apparel).
I'll also get write ups and features in countless mainstream snowboard media outlets such as Method Magazine, Slush Magazine, Snowboard Canada & King Snow. I will list both Alps & Gnars as sponsors, and market the brands via product placement (such as having branded logo stickers on my boards).
Getting this many eyes on Alps & Gnars in such an ideal target audience will bring a huge level of awareness to the community and help grow the ecosystem greatly.

I’ll also be organizing events like railjams and expression sessions with Alps/Gnars branding and product giveaways/prizes such as new snowboards, bindings and all sorts of gear from all of my sponsors.
Hosting events is a great way to get everyone in the community involved and spread the word about Alps/Gnars. Not only will these events be great for community building and targeting a diverse demographic of all age groups but they will also get the other brands that are involved with these events to look into Alps/Gnars such as the resorts that are hosting the events as well as local shops.
IRL events also lend well to showing people in person, how to get involved in the community, whether minting their videos/photos or bidding on tokens to participate in governance.
I'll be traveling to key industry meetups and invite-only events such as Snowboy Productions “Holy Bowly” which are a great source of outlets where I'll be able to spread the word about Alps/Gnars to major industry figures.
These events pose an amazing opportunity to network with and onboard so many key players from the snowboard industry while they’re all gathered together. The demographic ranges from other professional athletes to well established filmers/photographers, brand owners, event organizers, writers from magazines and the list goes on.
In addition to traveling to these essential industry events I’ll be traveling to other resorts to keep the social media content interesting for viewers and to expand the audience that will be viewing said content.
I will also be working on a longer term, full video part project that will be filmed in urban environments throughout different cities, with a skate-influenced approach to snowboarding. Filming a video part is an essential part of the snowboard scene (you could think of it like a resume for a snowboarder) that will help legitimize Alps/Gnars in the eyes of industry moguls.
I'll list both Alps & Gnars as official sponsors for this project and include logos in the video.
To fulfill the outlined plans, I am requesting support from both Alps & Gnars communities and see this as a great way to show the synergy and also lessen the burden on either treasury.
I am asking for:
These funds will cover expenses such as travel costs, accommodation, payment for filmers, and the costs associated with setting up/organizing events.
Thank you for considering this proposal. Your support will significantly contribute to the growth of Alps/Gnars and the broader snowboarding community.
Thank you, much love, Kai
