NFTreasure Whitepaper Confirmation

Summary

NFTreasure has come a long way since its inception as “Project X” in the early months of 2022. As a community, we have now had eight official on-chain votes and hundreds of soft-voted micro-decisions made by the community within Discord and Twitter. After months of research, community feedback, and building, NFTreasure is now live on the AVAX Fuji Testnet and we have a community-vetted whitepaper ready for on-chain confirmation.

Abstract

In our first on-chain vote as a community on April 8, 2022 (IPFS#QmRFzjY), we elected a general project direction and utility and elected a project team to focus efforts on building out a sustainable platform and project that would bring value to our community.

That community-driven effort has resulted in the development and now beta test of the NFTreasure protocol as outlined in this whitepaper: https://paper.nftreasure.com/

This proposal is a [YES / NO] vote to confirm this whitepaper as the official guiding document for the NFTreasure ecosystem and put into motion a series of actions that will deprecate any past messaging that runs counter to this whitepaper’s outline and narrative. This includes:

Starting NFTreasure Marketing Campaign

The intention of NFTreasure is to create a simple and easy way to onboard new and existing crypto users into our ecosystem and provide ongoing education on best practices for engaging with the NFT and defi space. We will begin promotion of these intentions and the feature-set outlined in the NFTreasure Whitepaper via a series of follow and lead generation campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

These marketing efforts will be paired with referral marketing from a series of accounts in our growing network of micro-channels and strategists (partners utilizing our referral marketing system will receive 10% of referred sales). All marketing efforts will be data-driven, follow best industry practices, and be regularly optimized to receive the most optimal return-on-ad-spend. We will utilize a series of strategies and consultants who have been integral in the formation of NFTreasure’s messaging and strategy, and update our campaign as our data suggests to do so.

Goal: Grow a strong whitelist of users eager to utilize NFTreasure's unique set of features via a Founder’s Key Mint, while increasing traffic and visibility on social media accounts and within our Discord Server.

Rebranding as NFTreasure and Deprecating Past Messaging

NFTreasure is a fully community-driven project and completely separate from any projects our community may have taken part of in the past. There has been some confusion in online communication and messaging amongst current and past community members due in part to conflicting project messaging and narratives, multiple past social media accounts, and overlap with other popular projects (i.e. the #SmartCon Web3 Conference by Chainlink). We have also received guidance from several consultants and legal counsel that creating clear separation between past projects and reinforcing NFTreasure as its own, standalone, community-governed project would be a beneficial action to take.

A [YES] vote for this proposal will confirm that we deprecate past project messaging and cull any past content on Medium, Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, Discord, etc., that promotes a message that is no longer consistent with the technical details and narrative outlined in the NFTreasure whitepaper.

It will also confirm that we move our Snapshot on-chain voting from the “smartercoin.eth” handle to the “nftreasure.eth” handle.

Costs

NFTreasure as written in the whitepaper is within our proposed starting seed-fund and mint budget which includes $40,000 for launch marketing, ad spend, and agency services, all of which have already been arranged and secured.

Upon the launch of NFTreasure to the Avalanche Network Mainnet, all funds from mint and $TRESR pre-mint distribution will be sent to NFTreasury wallets under Gnosis Safe Multi-Signature. An upcoming proposal will create guidelines for NFTreasury management, best practices, and multi-sig holders.

Motivation

There has already been an on-chain vote (IPFS#QmRFzjY) to confirm most of the high-level functionality that now exists in the NFTreasure whitepaper and beta product. The reason to reconfirm the whitepaper in its current state is to continue to showcase a list of receipts for community participation and choice in the NFTreasure project.

NFTreasure will continue to be a model for how to build a decentralized crypto product in community and having an on-chain trail to showcase concept to creation to launch to governance is an important step in the transparency required to make a project like this work well.

Next Steps

A high-level summary of how the proposal will be implemented:

• The whitepaper will be released as the official guiding document of the project
• We will remove any past content on Medium, Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, Discord, etc., that promotes a message that is no longer consistent with the technical details and narrative outlined in the NFTreasure whitepaper
• The NFTreasure marketing website will go live, detailing high-level project information and pointing to the whitepaper for review
• A series of landing pages and ad content will be deployed via various social media outlets and ad campaigns with the intention of building a strong whitelist for our Founder’s Key mint
• We will continue to grow the number of users in the NFTreasure beta, accepting and implementing product feedback as it is given by community members

• Moving forward with culling of incongruent content with all future messaging pointing towards NFTreasure branding

If you disagree with this proposal, a [NO] vote would confirm the following:

• We will stop all development of NFTreasure and create a series of Twitter Spaces calls to be held over 30 days to better understand current community sentiment, intention, and desired direction, then relaunch with a new proposed move forward plan
