Can we convert the wearable fee to DAI/USDC/USDT/UST

We recently had to change the price to publish a wearable from 500 MANA to 100 MANA to maintain a $500 peg.. Now that the price is around $2, it would make sense to change it again to 250 MANA to maintain a $500 peg.. But why not just use stablecoins.. The DAO normally uses USD to pay for grant proposals.. So why not accept the 500 USD derivatives as the fee for publishing wearables and store it to send to the grant proposals.. Problem solved.
