Abstract

Web3 technology and business models are hard to understand especially for new entrants and non-technical startup founders that come from creative and lifestyle industries.

Web3 Founder collective is a diverse community for startup founders from non-technical backgrounds to learn, network, and get the resources they need to build a web3 startup.

We provide a platform for startup founders to learn about web3 technologies, network to find co-founders, and connect with blockchain developers so they can build web3 applications.

Description

We are a combination of a digital learning community and a "pop-up" co-living Launch Studio for startup founders working in Web3.

We will bring a diverse and underrepresented group of founders from non-tech industries into the web3 space.

This will create more variety of products and solutions that can appeal to a broader segment of society.

Secondly, a key component of the project will be an open source mobile NFT verification wallet for apps to verify and authenticate ownership to grant access to communities, events, and content.

This could become a vital component to other projects around the world that will need a no-code solution to verify NFT ownership in their apps for communities, events, and ticketing.

Specification

We currently have 70 active members + 800 members whitelisted. We plan to expand the community through our mailinglist. Reach out through partners to secure speakers, residents, and moderators. Develop seed content with our partners. Build an open source NFT verification and auth system and secure and anchor partner with headline sponsorship for our launch Studio.

Collin Thompson https://www.linkedin.com/in/collinthompson Web3 product designer and software engineer (since 2014). Started Asia's first Web3 startup studio. Built Web3 apps for companies like AIA, Worldbank, and IFC.

Avi Konduru https://www.linkedin.com/in/kumaravinash-avi-konduru-54b3a6bb Web3 and fintech engineer. Founding Engineer at YC backed startup that helps businesses sell NFTs. Previously Technical lead at Earthbank where he built, deployed, and managed their entire tech stack

Zach Piester https://www.linkedin.com/in/zachpiester Community manager and recruiter that grew "Blockchain startups", a founder and developer community to over 10,000 members with 8 events per year sponsored by Visa, Worldbank, and Aviva insurance
