SIP-013 Teaming up with Market.xyz against TVL vampire attacks for a top 20 spot.

Voting ended about 4 years agoSucceeded

Background: Andre Cronje is going to airdrop locked ve(3, 3) NFT to top 20 Fantom projects based on TVL. Several projects, such as veDAO, Radial, 0xDAO, and a few others, are formed specifically to vamp attack the TVL ranking for the sole purpose to receive Andre’s airdrop.

While Spartacus is currently ranked at No. 20, we want to be proactive in protecting our airdrop position. Therefore we came in discussion with Market.xyz which is currently ranked at No. 21 about a team-up against such attacks.

Market.xyz offers permissionless, isolated lending markets. For more information about them please visit www.market.xyz.

Proposal:

  1. Market.xyz will create a dedicated fuse pool for Spartacus.
  2. Spartacus will allocate 42M Dai from treasury to the fuse pool. This will effectively boost Market’s TVL to $108M, most likely securing Market’s top 20 position. The snapshot will take place on Jan 23rd.
  3. Spartacus DAO and Market.xyz will share the voting power of the ve(3, 3) NFT if we do receive it. The voting will be split proportional to the TVL contributed.
  4. The ve(3, 3) NFT will be received by a multi-sig wallet shared by Spartacus and Market team.
  5. 42M Dai will be returned to Spartacus treasury after Andre’s snapshot on 23rd. If the community requests a future lending pool on Market.xyz, we will put up a separate snapshot for that purpose.

We need to take proactive actions to protect our top 20 spot. Working with Market.xyz team grants both teams a better chance of defending ourselves against the TVL vamp attacks.
