SGP 2 - Accept Ownership Transfer of Base Contracts to Spectra DAO

Context

Spectra officially launched on June 5, 2024, and has since gained significant traction, amassing over $23M in Total Value Locked (TVL) across 11 Mainnet and 7 Arbitrum pools. These pools have been created by various crypto projects and individual users experimenting with Spectra tools.

There is increasing community demand to deploy Spectra on the Base network, which offers lower transaction costs and access to emerging trends.

Base Network Overview

The Base network is rapidly growing, showing high user activity and a significant increase in TVL and transaction share this year. This makes it an ideal platform for expanding the Spectra protocol and introducing new financial tools via the Spectra app.

Specification

Perspective SAS has recently deployed the core Spectra contracts on the Base network, maintaining the same configuration as the Ethereum Mainnet.

Proposal

Perspective SAS proposes transferring ownership of the Spectra contracts on the Base network to the Spectra DAO. Post-transfer, the DAO will have the authority to:

• Manage all protocol roles (owner, pause etc.)
• Upgrade contracts
• Set and collect protocol fees
• Enable additional protocol features

Next Steps

Perspective SAS will submit the vote on Snapshot in the coming days.

If Spectra DAO members accept this proposal, Perspective SAS will transfer the ownership to Spectra DAO on Base (0xe59d75C87ED608E4f5F22c9f9AFFb7b6fd02cc7C).
