SGP-15 Accept Ownership Transfer of Monad Contracts to Spectra DAO

Summary

This proposal seeks to transfer ownership of Spectra’s deployed contracts on Monad from Perspective SAS to Spectra DAO. This marks the protocol’s formal expansion to Monad, aligned with Spectra’s multi-chain expansion strategy.

Context & Motivation

Monad is launching in the near future and wants to position itself as a major ecosystem in the RWA and DeFi space. The chain is EVM-compatible chain and scales transaction throughput via paralellization and it opens new possibilities for liquidity, yield, and user-growth.

The launch of Monad is expected to attract a significant wave of users and capital seeking opportunities in a fresh ecosystem. New chains with strong narratives and substantial technical backing typically experience a surge of activity in their first months, driven by both traders and liquidity providers exploring yield opportunities.

By deploying early on Monad, Spectra can place itself at the center of a new ecosystem before it matures, providing users with access to yield tokenization and fixed/variable rate markets from day one.

As Monad is EVM-compatible, deploying Spectra on the network is technically straightforward and not resource-intensive, allowing the protocol to efficiently expand its presence.

Specification:

Perspective SAS proposes deploying Spectra’s core contracts on Monad, replicating the configuration used on Ethereum Mainnet. This deployment will enable Spectra users to tokenize, trade, and fix interest rates for interest-bearing tokens within the Monad ecosystem.

Next Steps:

Perspective SAS will submit the vote on Snapshot, if there are no constructive objections.

If Spectra DAO members approve the proposal, Perspective SAS will proceed with deployment on Monad and transfer contract ownership to the Spectra DAO wallet on Monad.
