PROPOSAL #2: The Second Rebalancing of the $SCIFI Index

What? After the SPICE DAO has successfully passed its first vote on the reduction of the number of constituents from 15 to 10, Mission Control opens the decision of which new assets to include in the basket. We present a list of ten constitutes that the DAO may vote on.

Why? The SCIFI Index is an actively curated index. Its methodology defines a monthly rebalancing in order to define which assets shall be removed and which assets shall be added in order to ensure that we track the most promising assets on the market. By opening the rebalancing decision to the DAO we are keeping in line with the core value proposition of the SCIFI index and following its methodology.

How? In the regular process of the rebalancing, Mission Control will suggest two tokens to be removed and a list of 10 potential additions to the index (8 new and the 2 excluded tokens) based on expert input and recommendations.

The 10 assets will include the two tokens that Mission Control suggests to remove, so that the DAO may choose to keep them in after all. From these 10 assets, the DAO can cast their vote on which token they want to see added to the basket. The two assets with the most votes will be included. The rebalancing will be implemented on the 19th of the month.

This first DAO-driven rebalancing, is also the first one to take place since the DAO's decision to reduce the number of constitutes from 15 to 10. Mission Control has selected the assets that will be removed, however they will be included in the list of 10, so that the community may vote two of them back in. These are the 8 tokens that will remain in the upcoming basket:

These are the 10 tokens that are up for DAO vote. You can select one token of the 10. The two tokens with the most votes will be added to the list of 8, resulting in 10 constitutes.
