SIP-10 | sprMAV emission adjustment

Voting ended about 2 years agoSucceeded

TL;DR This proposal aims to address the recent depegging of our sprMAV by implementing a decrease in emissions, thereby decreasing the total emissions in liquidity from 2100 to 1000 sprMAV per day and in staking from 1200 to 800 sprMAV per day. This adjustment is intended to stabilize the sprMAV 's value and promote sustainability within our ecosystem.

Summary: In response to the recent depegging of our sprMAV , we propose a reduction in emissions to address this issue. By decreasing the total emissions in liquidity and staking, we aim to restore confidence in the stability of our sprMAV 's value and ensure the long-term sustainability of our ecosystem. This proposal reflects our commitment to maintaining a stable and resilient platform for our community.

Context: Recent events have highlighted the need to address the depegging of our sprMAV. To mitigate this issue, we propose the following measures:

Decrease in Total Emissions We propose to decrease the total emissions in liquidity from the current 2100 sprMAV per day to 1000 sprMAV per day. Additionally, the emissions in staking will be decreased from 1200 sprMAV per day to 800 sprMAV per day. This adjustment aims to reduce the supply of sprMAV s entering the market, thereby stabilizing the sprMAV 's value and promoting sustainability.

Retaining Distribution Percentages Despite the decrease in emissions, we will maintain the distribution percentages between pools as determined by the current gauge voting.

Means: No development required for implementation. Adjustments will be made to emission parameters as specified.
