The 2-day implementation window is too short of a time period to properly implement governance proposals and has proven to be overly inflexible. This has lead to situations where implementation of governance proposals (such as the change to a 60-day cool down period) has lead to unfair outcomes for certain parts of the community.
Moreover, it also makes it very difficult to implement governance proposals that require changes to the SX smart contract protocol. This is because those types of deep technical changes typically require time to complete technical code audits while still leaving time for adequate testing.
We propose changing the implementation window from 2-days to 2-weeks. This will likely slow down implementation of governance proposals, but will provide adequate time to properly implement governance changes and allows for more flexibility in implementation.
