Upgrade StakeWise contracts for priority fees and MEV

Voting ended over 3 years agoSucceeded

Introduction

Following widespread support for implementing the restaking functionality for ETH accrued from MEV as rETH2, the team has created a set of smart contracts designed to fulfill this function. The contracts were audited by the team at Pessimistic, who found no issues with the code.

With the road now clear to implement the changes, we ask the StakeWise DAO members to approve the contract upgrade that is necessary for MEV redistribution to go live 🔥

Specification

  • Upgrade the Pool contract implementation contract address from 0xe68E649862F7036094f1E4eD5d69a738aCDE666f to 0x61975c09207c5DFe794b0A652C8CAf8458159AAe to receive MEV and priority fees from the FeesEscrow contract
  • Pause the RewardEthToken contract
  • Upgrade the RewardEthToken contract implementation contract address from 0x7cA75ccf264b2d9F91D4ABA7639fC7FcC73a7e09 to 0x35CB741E55330B4A0E1Ae011417E6715e4bcA0B1
  • Call the upgrade function of the RewardEthToken contract and set the FeesEscrow contract address
  • Unpause the RewardEthToken contract

An audit was performed by the Pessimistic Team. The report is available here: https://github.com/stakewise/contracts/blob/master/audits/2022-09-09-Pessimistic.pdf
