Stargate Foundation's Amendment to RFP Proposal

Introduction: Following extensive community discussion this Snapshot will finalize the communities decision regarding Stargate’s RFP for the LayerZero token allocation process.

Proposal outlines: Whilst the foundation’s most recent proposal was widely supported by voters, the community has provided feedback indicating that small amendments would still be desirable.

Given the decentralized nature of the Stargate protocol and community, this proposal intends to provide a final option between Stargate’s originally approved RFP and a second Amended RFP which implements some of the aforementioned changes.

As a voter, you can indicate your preference by voting for either Option 1 (The below Amended Foundation RFP) or Option 2 (The Original Foundation RFP that passed).

Given the time constraints this will be a 24-hour vote, after which the foundation will propose the communities chosen RFP to the LayerZero forum.

Option 1: Amended RFP The following changes are made in the second RFP:

Bridging allocation reduced from 42% to 40%. Partner protocol allocation reduced from 18% to 15%. veSTG holders allocation increased from 20% to 25%. The additional 5% allocated to veSTG holders will be a bonus for voters with a minimum 1 vote on Snapshot and cumulative voting score as the metric (your veSTG will be summed across all votes you have done). The early staker (before 1-year anniversary) multiplier would also be increased to 1.5X (previously 1.3X). These changes were informed by extensive community discussion and aim to dampen concerns around bridgers and users of partner protocols receiving multiple airdrops (A direct LayerZero airdrop, a Stargate airdrop and a partner protocol airdrop). Moreover, given that decentralized governance is integral to the success and security of the protocol, providing a bonus for voters should help to reward good behavior that has been the backbone of Stargate’s growth.

Conclusion: This Snapshot will demonstrate the expressed preference of the Stargate community regarding Stargate’s RFP for LayerZero token allocation.
