Transfer Ownership of TheAptosBridge to Stargate

In late 2022, LayerZero launched TheAptosBridge, allowing users to bridge to and from Aptos from 6 chains. This bridge is the most popular bridge to and from Aptos, and has seen users send millions of transactions through it. Currently over >$18 million in wrapped assets reside on Aptos, supported by TheAptosBridge. These assets are the default asset to use on many popular Aptos protocols such as Pontem, Thala and many more.

LayerZero is proposing to hand ownership of TheAptosBridge over to the Stargate DAO. As the most popular bridge protocol in crypto today, Stargate is uniquely positioned to support the TheAptosBridge and ensure it has strong backing moving forward.

If the DAO chooses to accept this, all websites, smart contracts and materials associated with TheAptosBridge will be transferred to Stargate and any future decisions around the state of the TheAptosBridge will rest with the Stargate DAO.
