Stargate x Galxe: Optimism Ecosystem Growth Grant

Stargate has a great opportunity to engage both the evm and non-evm users of Galxe to the Stargate ecosystem with the objective in mind of converting those users into long-term loyal users of Stargate. Galxe’s success has put us among the top dapps in the space. According to DappRadar, Galxe has consistently become a top 10 dapp based on unique active wallets over the course of a 30-day period.

Issue Statement: Growth and marketing in Web3 are difficult and many projects struggle to find ways to build their community, drive on-chain activity, and re-engage with users following their first interaction. Galxe helps you tap into the most diverse Web3 user base to find the perfect user for your protocol. We accomplish this by leveraging credentials and helping you identify your loyal users, so you can reward them accordingly. Our ecosystem of 2100+ partners and 65M+ Galxe ID users allows us to assist a variety of protocols in achieving incredible growth. This includes Optimism and the participating dapps in the Optimism Quest, such as Stargate.

Solution: Galxe is looking to team up with Stargate to run a series of campaigns to educate users on Stargate’s Optimism ecosystem, target new user growth, and introduce Stargate’s first on-chain loyalty program on Galxe.

The quests will include touching each part of the Stargate ecosystem to make sure users are familiar with everything Stargate has to offer on Optimism including but not limited to transferring, pooling, and farming on Stargate through Optimism. Educational quests will prioritize understanding Stargate and Optimism for a better user experience. Users will consume educational content from blogs to videos. What’s exciting is that Stargate has the ability to draw users from all parts of the Galxe ecosystem that Stargate may have not had exposure to yet during the quests.

Stargate will grow its community and power its on-chain growth on Optimism through Galxe campaigns.

Galxe’s past success in the Optimism ecosystem has made this proposed partnership feel like the perfect fit. The Optimism Quest, hosted by Galxe, drove the Optimism ecosystem to new heights, resulting in strong retention of Optimism. New user growth on Optimism increased by 47% and specifically on Stargate by 106%. Stargate’s quest asked users to bridge USDC to or from Optimism which resulted in 337,000+ NFTs being minted. Galxe and Optimism accomplished the objectives of new user growth, mass adoption, and retention. Throughout this 4 month quest, there were over 3.4M+ NFTs minted on Optimism through Galxe.

Galxe recently powered a Stargate quest in the Polygon ecosystem that also achieved strong results. Out of the 26 other dapps in the quest, Stargate attracted the most users and had the most NFTs minted. Over 14,600+ NFTs were minted and over 230,000+ users visited the Stargate campaign page alone.

Execution: Galxe will work directly with the Stargate team to asses growth goals and objectives over the course of a 4-month period. The objectives set forth by the Stargate team will guide the execution of each campaign including Galxe’s marketing initiatives. Through the quests, Galxe can put in place a realm of gamification methods like no other. This includes transferable/non-transferable NFTs, generating Stargate’s own personal NFT collection, incorporating gamified NFT minting by using our Mystery Box module, and introducing Stargate’s on-chain loyalty program on Optimism powered by Galxe and its new loyalty points feature. Participation badges and loyalty levels inside the Stargate Optimism ecosystem will be achievable throughout the Galxe campaigns. Stargate will be able to identify loyalty, shine a spotlight on their most important quests through loyalty points and reward their most loyal users accordingly. This gives the opportunity for the end user to build out their own reputation in the Stargate ecosystem through NFTs, credentials, and loyalty points. Stargate and Galxe plan to run quests for users of all different levels in the crypto ecosystem to make sure no user is left behind and there is an opportunity for the inclusion of all. Each user will receive gas fee rebates for participating in the quests essentially making the campaigns a gasless experience.

Timeline and costs: Galxe can begin working with Stargate on campaigns and growth initiatives immediately since Optimism is already integrated into Galxe. Planning will start after the passed proposal and once objectives have been finalized between the teams. Galxe will launch a series of coordinated campaigns to support Stargate objectives and the Optimism ecosystem. The only costs to be considered will come from the marketing side as Galxe will support this initiative with custom, tailored content across all of our social channels for maximum exposure.

Marketing support will include being featured on Galxe’s front page carousel, receiving retweets/announcement tweets from the Galxe main Twitter page of 750K+ followers, Discord/Telegram communication, a dedicated blog post, and an AMA.

Summary: Galxe will leverage its expertise in propelling the growth of the Stargate Optimism ecosystem. Top-tier marketing support will be provided by Galxe and we’re expecting this quest to receive maximum engagement. This initiative can begin right away after the passing of the proposal and OP tokens will be distributed to users to reimburse them for gas costs. Additionally, OP tokens will be used in a reward pool to incentivize and reward participation based on user engagement levels in the quests.

Galxe is requesting a total of 45,000 OP tokens. 10% will be used for the marketing and promotion of the campaign while the remaining 90% will be left over for the reimbursement of OP gas fees and as a rewards pool for participation.
