Synopsis In order to fund new films, StudioDAO UNA wishes to operate The Greenlight Festival, a streaming film festival that benefits new films by selling ticket access to related films.

StudioDAO UNA will support this new Festival by paying StudioBacklot to Configure, Program, Market and Operate the Film Festival. Backlot will receive $5K on the proposal passing and $1K per month to operate the festival.

Motivation Studiodao Backlot LLC has performed the following tasks in researching and setting up the Greenlight Film Festival as a viewing portal, $ USDC payment solution, and marketing platform for StudioDAO U.N.A. films:

Research film festival operations and platforms. The Eventive platform is the best fit because of its features and 3rd party integrations that allow us to launch a streaming film festival for our community to connect by viewing and sharing related movies. Since Eventive is used by major festivals, such as Sundance, it allows us to present our Greenlight Festival Offerings alongside the serious content that we aspire to fund as a community.

Ticket To Space is our first film in the festival. Programming for the purpose of bringing in funding $ for the Ticket To Space documentary. Backlot is in the process of obtaining permission to show “Hostil” and “Silence of the Impenetrables” two feature documentaries by Fernando Urdapilleta, the filmmaker of Ticket To Space. Once we have our model in place we will be inviting filmmakers to share their “space related” movies with the festival, and arranging for the sharing of rough cuts, works in progress, with StudioDAO UNA Members and Greenlight Festival Pass Holders..

Specification Transfer $5,000.00 to StudioBacklot.eth to cover setup costs including time and materials.

StudioDAO U.N.A. will transfer $1,000 on the 1st of each month to StudioBacklot.eth beginning on Jun 1, 2023 and continuing until Oct 1, 2023 as a minimum payment to operate the Greenlight Festival.

Tasks covered by the $1K minimum monthly payment are as follows: Recruit Filmmakers and their Films to join and participate in StudioDAO UNA Promote Films that are live on the platform Customer support for festival participants Manage weekly email newsletters for the festival programming Create and Operate Drip campaign to move users from festival to community

Additional Eventive platform expenses for film ingestion and streaming expenses are billable to the UNA in addition to the $1K/monthly fee.

Rationale StudioDAO UNA needs a Web2 access point to grow its membership and to allow Fiat transactions to flow into the StudioDAO UNA treasury.

The use of Eventive API opens up the potential for a tokenized backend for StudioDAO engagements. That future protocol can tap into the API to reflect viewing, paying and engagement of Web2 users with the Greenlight Festival. StudioDAO Backot will recruit new filmmakers and films to participate, there is no guarantee that any filmmakers will agree.

There may be technical issues with the Eventive platform.

The festival is technically complete, we need to complete Greenlight Festival Screening Agreements for at least one film to launch.
