2024 RareDAO Council Election

Voting ended about 2 years agoSucceeded

The election phase has begun!

The nomination phase yielded seven candidates who exceeded the 1.5 million vote threshold, all of whom are well qualified in their own way. The final decision now rests with you, the token holders. We have 7 candidates competing for 5 seats. Who will you select to serve on the 2024 RareDAO Governance Council?

Election Rules & Disclaimers

This proposal utilizes the approval voting strategy. Please select all of the candidates who you personally believe would be excellent council members when submitting your vote. You may choose as many or as few as you like, and your entire vote power will apply to each of your selected candidates. At the end of this vote, the top 5 candidates will be selected to begin onboarding and KYC processes with the RareDAO Foundation.

The RareDAO Foundation will not have access to or retain any personally identifiable information candidates reveal during the KYC process, we will only receive a "yes" or specific issue flags from the KYC provider. In case of voluntary dropout or disqualification, the next highest ranking candidate from this vote will be selected to begin onboarding. Disqualification may occur if a candidate is unwilling to submit to KYC or if KYC reveals regulatory issues that the Foundation Director cannot reasonably resolve through other means. In the unlikely case of an exact tie, the candidate with the greater number of votes in the nomination phase will take priority.

Please also note that the governance council is composed of 7 members. This election is to select the 5 members who will serve alongside Charles Crain and Fanny Lakoubay who are staying on from the previous council for the sake continuity and improved onboarding as we bootstrap this new process.

Due to the fact that this process has been previously ratified by the RareDAO Council and is not a typical SIP, whether or not this proposal reaches quorum shall have no impact on the outcome.
