0xMaki Compensation Proposal

Proposed by SBF, Mick Hagen, and Larry Cermak (3/9 of the Sushi multi-sig signers)

-- 0xMaki has been an essential part of Sushi since the beginning. Having him full time will be incredibly valuable for the project’s success long term. 0xMaki’s official start date would be Monday, September 14, 2020.

We agree with a lot of the feedback that the community has given on the previous proposal. In particular we think that it’s important for the rewards to be vesting SUSHI over time, to align incentives and rewards with the success of the project and token. We also think it’s important for the community to choose the scale, beyond just voting it up or down.

Instead of proposing a specific number of SUSHI for 0xMaki’s compensation, this proposal aims to create a bit more flexibility for the community to decide.

There is no upfront grant. This would be a 3 year vesting schedule. It would be unlocked for 0xMaki block by block using Sablier Protocol. If 0xMaki stops working on Sushi full-time, the community can vote to terminate this arrangement. At the community’s full discretion, they can add later bonuses based on performance (TVL/Volume/Revenue). This proposal only covers base compensation for 3 years of full-time work for 0xMaki.

In addition, there would be $10,000 per month for salary and expenses. This could be terminated at any point at the discretion of the community if the work is no longer important or satisfactory.

And similar to past proposals, once the voting is done, we will take the weighted average value to determine the final compensation for 0xMaki.
