Proposal: Remove 2-week claim period on BLOOD bags and allow BLOOD BAG Stacking

Voting ended almost 4 years agoSucceeded

I propose to modify the BLOOD rework to remove the 2-week claim window and to allow BLOOD bags to stack. I am not opposed to using additional prizes, etc. to incentivize people to claim their BLOOD bags within the 2-week period, but holders who are unable to claim within the proposed 2-week claim period should not lose their BLOOD bags, which should instead stack and remain claimable. Alternatively, you can issue BLOOD bags (like wolf-game's WOOL pouches) that will emit BLOOD at a regular interval and be claimable at the holder's discretion.

My rationale:

This space already penalizes so many of us for not being always on/always checking discord/always claiming our utility...that it creates a crazy addictive feedback loop to resist the feeling like you've failed yourself. That's why long-term project staking is such a good way to reduce those stressors.

But by introducing a claim every 2 weeks or lose out mechanic, you're going to make SVS into an addiction loop of attention. And it seems to me that the only real upside--the only real reason the team would be doing this--is because it would be banking on people forgetting to do so, and thus causing the BLOOD supply to deflate.

I get it. Deflationary tokens are more valuable. But this artificial deflation mechanic as a penalty for not maintaining my investments is not a respectful way to do it. Instead of creating legitimate deflation via massive utility (like the raffles, utility, etc. you are already planning), penalizing holders who are unable to claim in that time period is just creating a gated penalty box for people who are already your supporters and penalizing them for being active in other aspects of their lives.

Most of all, the BLOOD ecosystem's tokenomics should be stable enough to able to sustain holder claims at all time intervals (again, like WOOL, PIXL, and other secondary tokens already do), so I don' t see any benefit from the 2-week predictability of the claiming, and all I see is downside and force deflation for "inactive" investors who frankly, have remained invested in this project for 7+ months without being told they'd later be put on a 2-week claim leash or else they lose their staking rewards.

And above all else, I just don't think it's healthy, for the team, for the holders, for the project. Just my 2 cents. I'd like to see if others feel similarly.
