Proposal to Pause PixelSweeper Staker Pot

Summary

This proposal suggests a temporary suspension of the PixelSweeper Staker Pot, redirecting focus towards optimizing the value of the vault for the collective benefit of all PixelSweeper holders

Background

At present, the PixelSweeper Vault holds 75 PancakeSquad NFTs, staked through Kalmy to earn $SQUAD token rewards for the treasury.

The current mechanics of the Staker Pot pose challenges in the long-term sustainability of the project. Given the current trading volume, PancakeSquads are raffled off much faster than new ones can be swept, and thus only very few holders will benefit, while ultimately depleting the vault completely.

Furthermore, the promise of a small chance to win an NFT once a week is no longer enough to attract new holders and help grow the project.

This proposal aims to recalibrate the project's trajectory by temporarily halting the Staker Pot. This pause will facilitate exploration of more sustainable and inclusive methods to enhance value for all holders.

For now this means that the PancakeSquad NFTs would remain staked, ensuring continuous earnings in the form of staking rewards and monthly $SQUAD airdrops for the treasury. What will be done in the future is open for discussion and will be decided by a later proposal.

This strategic pause promises substantial benefits to the entire PixelSweeper community. It aims to shift from a single weekly raffle approach to a sustainable model that enhances the collective value of the project. This will allow us time to re-evaluate the mechanics of the project while retaining or even increasing the value of the vault and treasury.

Risks

The proposed alteration to the project's mechanics may prompt concerns among some holders regarding fundamentals changes.

It's conceivable that a subset of holders may contemplate exiting the project. However, the overarching objective is to ensure the project's viability in the long term, fostering sustainability and growth. It's anticipated that the majority of holders will recognize the value of this pivot and align with the vision of a more sustainable future for PixelSweeper.
