Context
Gravity is a Layer 1 Proof of Stake (PoS) EVM-compatible blockchain. Built with advanced technologies like Zero-Knowledge Proofs and staking-powered architecture, Gravity ensures high performance, security, and cost-effective transactions.
Galxe introduced Gravity to leverage its ecosystem and propose an omnichain smart contract platform designed to facilitate efficient, scalable, and secure cross-chain interactions. Gravity aims to simplify the intricate process of navigating infrastructure-level transactions between chains for users and Web3 developers.
Release:
- Alpha Mainnet: Launching in June 2024 as an Ethereum rollup powered by the Arbitrum Nitro stack. The Alpha Mainnet will demonstrate Galxe’s commitment to high standards by testing cross-chain settlements in a transparent environment.
- Mainnet: Scheduled for Q2 2025, the full-fledged Gravity Mainnet will feature native staking and restaking protocols.
Proposal
Enable support for Gravity in the Symbiosis protocol to enhance Symbiosis DeFi offerings for L1 blockchains. The integration includes the following:
- Add support for the new blockchain to the Symbiosis protocol. This involves including WETH for Gravity in the Symbiosis AMM DEX on the host chain. At the same time, the Symbiosis relayers network should start working with the new blockchain.
- Deploy and tune Symbiosis contracts on Gravity.
- Implement on-chain routing via existing DEXs on Gravity.
Key points
- Galxe Ecosystem Migration: Galxe plans to migrate its entire existing ecosystem and user base to Gravity, leveraging its significant user base to boost adoption and activity on Gravity.
- Scalable Cross-Chain Interactions: Gravity’s design facilitates efficient and scalable cross-chain interactions, enhancing the overall functionality and reach of the Symbiosis protocol.
- Seamless Integration: As an EVM-compatible chain, Gravity can be seamlessly integrated into the Symbiosis protocol, ensuring a smooth transition and immediate benefits.
