[SIP-23] Symbiosis Grows with zkLink Nova: Pioneering L3 Integration

Voting ended almost 2 years agoSucceeded

Context

zkLink Nova is the industry's pioneering aggregated Layer 3 zkEVM Rollup network, constructed atop Ethereum and its Layer 2 rollups (L2s). It is safeguarded by zero-knowledge proof technology, incurs minimal gas fees, ensures rapid finality, and benefits from the robust security of Ethereum.

The mission of zkLink Nova is to consolidate the dispersed liquidity throughout the Ethereum ecosystem, including its Layer 2 Rollups. This effort seeks to create a unified and interoperable rollup ecosystem to promote the permissionless mass adoption of DApps.

Proposal

Integrate the zkLink Nova network into the Symbiosis protocol. This integration aims to harness the benefits of an L3 network, enhancing overall efficiency and the user experience within the Symbiosis ecosystem. The integration includes the following:

  • Incorporate support for the new blockchain within the Symbiosis protocol. This entails adding the WETH token to the Symbiosis AMM DEX on the host chain. Concurrently, the Symbiosis relayer network should begin interfacing with the newly integrated blockchain.
  • Deploy and tune Symbiosis contracts on zkLink Nova.
  • Implement on-chain routing via existing DEXes on zkLink Nova.

Key points

  • Unified Liquidity: By consolidating fragmented liquidity across the Ethereum ecosystem, including Layer 2 rollups, it enhances capital efficiency. This unified liquidity pool can lead to better slippage rates, improved pricing, and increased opportunities for traders and liquidity providers.
  • Integration simplicity: As an EVM chain, zkLink Nova can be seamlessly integrated into the Symbiosis protocol.
