Context

Monad is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain implementing parallel execution and a custom MonadBFT consensus mechanism based on HotStuff research. The network achieves 10,000 transactions per second with sub-second finality (800ms), enabling instant transaction confirmation without reorganization risk.

The network is fully EVM-compatible at the bytecode level, supporting standard Ethereum tooling, Solidity contracts, and wallet infrastructure including MetaMask. Monad incorporates several architectural innovations optimized for high-throughput execution:

• Parallel Execution: Optimistic parallel processing of transactions to maximize throughput

The Monad mainnet was launched on November 24, 2025.

Proposal

• Enable support for Monad within the Symbiosis protocol. The integration will include the following steps:
• Deploying and tuning Symbiosis contracts on Monad to support cross-chain and on-chain operations
• Adding USDC tokens for Monad in the Symbiosis AMM DEX on the host chain
• Leveraging DEXs on Monad to enable on-chain routing to ecosystem token: MON, WMON, WETH
• Activating the Symbiosis Relayers Network to handle cross-chain messaging and verification for Monad
