Summary

Track & refund gas fees paid by signers since the DAO multisigs creation to retroactively refund expenses from December 2021 to October 2023.

Context

The Jarvis DAO currently has 8 multisigs: Mainnet Polygon BSC Optimism Arbitrum Base Gnosis (Inactive) Avalanche (Inactive)

While Jarvis signers started to use OnChainDen early 2023 enabling Gas payment from multisigs directly, some transactions were executed by the committee or external address before this date.

Moreover, some dApps not implementing basics such as Wallet Connect V2, or even bugs linked to the beta can lead to transactions not submitted from Den and therefore, not leveraging this feature.

This proposal will present the overall analysis of gas fees spent by address to refund it. Another proposal will be focused on committee structure & retroactive grant for members.

Rationale

Despite the low amounts, refunding these will enable committee members to execute transactions not launched using Den gas refund feature without requiring them to add more gas to their signer address.

Overview of gas spent

The table below is the breakdown of spending per signer & per chain. Gnosis & Avalanche are not included because there’s no gas to refund there, and both multisigs are inactive.

Means

The total expenses include: 0,68 ETH on Mainnet 0,035 ETH on Arbitrum 0,034 ETH on Optimism 0,002 ETH on Base 0,2 BNB on BSC 6,75 MATIC on Polygon

Technical Implementation

Create batch transfer if the proposal is approved & prioritize tx paid with gas from Safe in the future.
