It has been a month since we minted jFIATs from the jFIAT printer (p49) so we can draw some conclusions: the risks outlined in the proposal (depleting of the liquidity on the primary market) did not happen.
The liquidity has not been used for shorting, but for looping and/or arbitrages for yield, mainly.
The liquidity supplied on the jSGD pool is not enough anymore: the pool is utilized at 62%.
This is due to the fact that the 2sgd program was launched a bit before the p49 vote; therefore, we used the amount of jSGD that was in circulation back then to calculate how many jSGD we could mint.
Since then, more jSGD has been minted, so we should mint more jSGD while respecting the threshold of 30% voted in the proposal p49.
I would suggest to mint more to lower the rates and increase the liquidity on money markets.
I think we could mint up to 50% of the circulating supply.
