[TIP-10] Proposal: Transitioning TALK Token to LayerZero V2 OFT Standard

Summary

This proposal requests community approval to migrate the TALK token's cross-chain infrastructure from the current bridge-based model (Wormhole) to the LayerZero V2 Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard. This transition aims to establish TALK as a native asset across all supported chains, enhancing liquidity, security, and user experience.

Background

Currently, TALK is issued as a native ERC-20 on Ethereum and exists as "wrapped" or "bridged" assets on other chains such as Kaia. While this structure enabled initial multichain expansion, it presents the following limitations: • Hub-and-Spoke Dependency: Cross-chain movement often requires routing through a central chain, increasing latency and cost. • Asset Fragmentation: Wrapped assets are dependent on the security of the specific bridge provider, creating a distinction between "original" and "bridged" tokens. • Limited Scalability: Integrating Non-EVM ecosystems such as Solana and Tron requires bespoke bridging solutions. By adopting the LayerZero V2 OFT standard, TALK will evolve into a truly omnichain asset, fundamentally resolving these structural limitations.

Proposal Details

Technical Specification 1.Standard: Implement LayerZero V2 OFT 2.Deployment Strategy • Ethereum (Origin Chain): Utilize an OFTAdapter to lock/unlock existing TALK ERC-2 • EVM Chains (Arbitrum, Kaia, BSC, Base, Polygon): Deploy native OFT contracts via CREATE2 to ensure identical contract addresses across all networks • Non-EVM (Solana, Tron): Deploy native OFT programs 3.Connectivity: Establish a full-mesh (Any-to-Any) network, allowing direct transfers between any two supported chains without a mandatory central hub Supported Networks • EVM: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Kaia, BSC, Base, Polygon • Non-EVM: Solana, Tron

Expected Outcomes

• Native Omnichain Presence: TALK will exist as a native asset on 8+ major networks • Improved UX and Speed: Direct chain-to-chain transfers reduce the number of transactions and time required to move assets • Unified Standard: Removes liquidity fragmentation and simplifies integration for DEXs, wallets, and portfolio trackers • Future-Proofing: LayerZero V2's modular security architecture allows the Talken ecosystem to adapt to new security standards without migrating contracts again

If this proposal is approved through community DAO governance voting, the transition of the TALK token to the LayerZero V2 OFT standard will be confirmed and executed.
