[TIP-3] Proposal for Talken Ecosystem Grant Program

Background

Talken values diverse collaborations that contribute to the improvement, expansion, and promotion of the ecosystem. We believe that fostering innovation among community members and ecosystem partners is essential for Talken’s growth. To support this, we are introducing the Talken Ecosystem Grant Program, which will provide funding for initiatives that enhance the Talken ecosystem.

Proposal

The Talken Ecosystem Grant Program aims to provide financial support to community members, developers, and ecosystem partners who have clear plans to contribute to the ecosystem. This program follows a structured process of proposal submission, review, discussion, and voting before funding is allocated.

Grant Application Process

1. Proposal Submission & Community Discussion a. Applicants must submit their proposal to Talken’s official support channel (Zendesk) with the following details: i. Title: A brief description of the proposal ii. Proposer(s): Details of the proposer(s), including experience and key achievements iii. Summary: A concise 3–4 sentence overview iv. Details: Expected impact on the Talken ecosystem, timeline, costs, and other relevant details b. After internal review, the proposal will be shared in the Telegram and Discord community for one week of discussion.
2. Voting Phase After the discussion period, the finalized proposal will be submitted for governance voting. Governance token holders can vote for or against the proposal. Voting will take place over one week on Talken Governance and Snapshot.
3. Outcome & Execution a. Approved proposals will receive funding and proceed to the implementation phase. b. Execution will commence immediately upon approval. c. All funding for approved grants will be sourced from the Talken DAO Treasury, which serves as the financial backbone for the Talken Ecosystem Grant Program.
