Vote to change our name to Revenant ($GAMEFI)

Why a rebrand and name change is needed

As part of our move away from the unsustainable Olympus DAO rebase model, we are adjusting our tokenomics to fit a project that is poised for long-term, sustainable growth.

We no longer wish to appeal to traders chasing unrealistic yields, but to serious gamers and GameFi investors who believe in the long-term potential of Revenant. Therefore, to represent this monumental movement in our history, a complete rebrand, starting with a name change is an absolute necessity.

That’s why we are now proposing this historic vote to change our name to Revenant and our ticker to $GAMEFI.

Why Revenant and $GAMEFI?

First, the word “Revenant” is derived from the French word ‘revenir’ translated as ‘coming back’. Revenant is used in relation to rebirth and resurrection often in connection with a person who has returned, especially supposedly from the dead.

We believe this perfectly encapsulates this chance for our community and token. We are now rising past our past identity to claim a new one more in line with our mission.

Second, the ticker $GAMEFI leaves no confusion about what our passion and mission is. We are a project that aims to create the best projects in the GameFi sector. Simply put, we will be dedicating ourselves exclusively to building a play-to-earn gaming ecosystem.

A vote for the community

The DAO aspect (in the sense that we are a Decentralized Autonomous Community that makes decisions collectively) will, of course, remain. After all, what is a game without a community?

With that in mind, we are positioning ourselves to be a leading platform for decentralized gaming on the Avalanche network. Therefore, we want our name, our tokenomics and our branding to reflect the unique direction that we are going in. The community will be the center of these decisions and we want you to help this grow into the project that the blockchain desperately needs.

This mean that we will create:

• A space where indie devs can launch their games
• A space to showcase the power of DeFi and unique protocols from across the cryptoverse and metaverse
