What is the problem you are trying to solve? Operators are needed to ensure smooth running of this DAO most especially in ensuring ideas through proposals are organised in a manner that is enticing to DAO members but it's unfortunate that NOT MANY DAO MEMBERS ARE AWARE OF THIS VACANT POSITION and/or KNOW HOW TO GO ABOUT APPLYING
What evidence do you have that indicates this is a problem? None of the Admiral DAO members or Community at large has ever made enquiry about the Operator role or fill application in the last 3 weeks that this DAO came into existence
What is the desired outcome if the problem is solved? Admiral DAO members and Community at large starts putting in their applications and the position gets filled in reasonable time
Who is this for? Admiral DAO members will benefit from the good services these set of Operators will render to the DAO
How might this work? A - APPLICATION PROCESS
We start by creating a New Discussion under #proposal-submission-forum and name the title OPERATORS APPLICATIONS
The interest applicants after reading through the;
The applications must align with the below questionnaire format;
1). Candidates' Name with short intro: (Name should be boldly written for easier identification of the candidate and links to socials may be provided but social links are optional)
2). Position applying for: (Operator)
3). Domain Function Aligned: (Product & Technical or Business) - state your background in any of the functions selected
4). Why would you make a great Operator? (write some lines)
5). Why should the DAO members vote for you? (write some lines)
6). If Elected, what types of Proposals and/or Developments would you like to see? (write some lines)
7). Conflict of Interest: (declare any conflict of interest)
8). Wallet Address that will be used in participating in onchain voting:
B - ELECTION PROCESS
Application submission start date is set to September 30th or 2 Weeks after the SAIL token staking is live (whichever that comes earlier) and the current Operators decides the submission ends date when sufficient applications are in
The @Operators (acting) puts the name of Applicants to #temperature-check with links to their applications in front of their names
Top 10 Applicants with most vote in this #temperature-check moves to Snapshot for onchain voting
Applicants with most votes on Snapshot is subjected to KYC and elected accordingly.
(If by refusal of the winning Applicants to go through KYC process or by other security concerns as observed by the Security Council the winners couldn't be elected, the runner up should be elected)
C - TENURE & TERMINATION
Why might this idea fail? If there is no monetary reward associated with this role or the reward is seen less worthy, members may not be interested. So, the incentives should be well thought about
