How should XP work in Blightfell?

In the lead up to the full PvP mode, players will earn XP by completing expeditions, weekly challenges, social quests and more. This is meant to be a form of meta-progression outside of gear upgrading that leads into the larger PvP launch.

XP will be attached to both free and premium battle passes with content and rewards placed along each track.

XP will also feature into our Play to Rip! airdrop model for PvP card packs.

Below are some options for how those points should be earned. Please read through each before voting on your favorites.

1. Blightfell Expeditions

• Basic Villagers earn 10 XP per completed expedition
• Partner project characters earn 15 XP per completed expedition
• Blessed Villagers earn 20 XP per completed expedition
• Knights earn 30 XP per completed expedition
• Genesis Knights earn 40 XP per completed expedition

2. Modifiers

• Companion holders earn an extra 5 XP per completed expedition
• Battle pass holders earn an extra 10 XP per completed expedition

3. Temporary Boosts

• Burn potions/trinkets/rings for temporary boosts
• Spend fief for temporary boosts

4. Weekly Challenges

• Differing difficulty from week to week
• Harder challenges grant more XP than easier challenges
• Challenges can include speed runs, scoring, quests and other related feats

5. Social Quests

• Similar to Zealy quests
• Meant to reward users for spreading the word of KOTE and helping to onboard new players

6. Referrals

• A referral system that doubles your XP earned for a period of time when a new player joins through your referral link
• Based on how many referrals you have, your daily XP cap raises.

7. Events

• Double XP weekends
• Guild-based XP events built around the four Royal Houses
• Mini-game tournaments for XP

8. Playform

• Fortnite-based XP challenges
• Play custom maps and earn XP
• Compete in tournaments on playform maps and earn XP + MAGIC

9. You Choose
