How should 1v1’s in Blightfell PvP function?
We have a few ideas based on some other popular games, as well as some of our own unique ideas. We want you all to help us decide what will be the most fun AND what will attract the widest user base.
Battlefield: Cards are played on a shared battlefield with attack and health as in traditional TCGs like hearthstone and magic. Players can attack cards with other cards or attack the opposing knight. Players alternate turns. Energy starts at 1 and rises by 1 each turn. 1 card drawn each turn.
Basic: Cards are played and discarded as in PvE. Hands do not discard at the end of the turn. Energy starts at 1. 1 card drawn each turn.
Stacking: Cards are played on a shared battlefield but do not have attack and health. Instead they stack their abilities and play out sequentially turn after turn, each player taking account of what the other is playing and countering with their own expanding stack of played cards. Energy starts at 3 and stays at 3. Hands discard at the end of each turn.
Chaining: Players alternate single cards until one player runs out of energy or chooses not to play a card. All cards then resolve in the order they were played. The turn then ends, energy rises by 1 and 1 card is drawn per player. A new combat chain begins. The player with less hp goes first.
