Abstract:

We predict that the current marketing push is going to lead to The Holy Ones community growing more active members. As a result, the need for additional support to maintain a productive and inclusive environment has become apparent. This proposal seeks to hire a Junior Moderator at a monthly salary of $600. The main responsibilities of the Junior Moderator will be to support the community's growth, enforce rules, and ensure a safe and respectful space for all members.

Create a Junior Moderator role and allow Nick Romano to pick and choose whom they think will be best for the position and then have the ability to hire under the permission of the organization. The position is as follows:

Community Junior Moderator

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Junior Moderator for both the Games on Chain and The Holy Ones Discord servers. The primary role of the Community Junior Moderator is to ensure a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for all members while enforcing server rules and regulations.

Responsibilities: A Community Junior Moderator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Familiarize themselves with the purpose and goals of the Games on Chain and The Holy Ones projects.
  2. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment during their shift on both Discord servers.
  3. Engage frequently with the community in general chat channels, offering assistance and support.
  4. Enforce server rules and regulations consistently and fairly.
  5. Moderate and delete inappropriate posts or messages.
  6. Adding, removing, kicking, or banning users as needed.
  7. Address and resolve issues, defending against trolls and other disruptive elements.
  8. Ensure inclusivity and encourage active participation during daily conversations.
  9. Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for all members.
  10. Act as an ambassador for the projects, providing support on social media platforms.

Compensation and Time Commitment: The Community Junior Moderator position offers $600 per month for a 3-month term, with the possibility of grant renewal. The expected time commitment is 12-18 hours per week.

Candidate Evaluation: During the evaluation phase, the potential moderator will be assessed on their ability to:

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the server and project purpose.
  • Maintain server safety and security during their shift.
  • Engage effectively with the community.
  • Enforce rules and regulations consistently.
  • Manage user privileges and moderate content.
  • Resolve conflicts and handle disruptive users.
