Create rewards-based program for Holy Games (1 of 2)

ABSTRACT As we start putting out games, it would be good to implement a rewards-based program to gather player contact information and voluntary demographics in exchange for players to be able to accumulate reward points for playing our games. The idea of this program is the membership mentality which will cause players to come back and play our games for rewards and gives the Holy Ones the ability to reach out to players on news, promotions and updates to our games and events.

PROPOSAL I propose that we create a Rewards program to allow players to get rewarded for playing our games.

1. REGISTRATION. Registration for Membership club would require their Ethereum wallet address and email address. Other optional information would be fields on the registration form such as name, date of birth, gender, country, etc.
2. REGISTRATION AREA. In Decentraland, it would be a “stand” with one button which would create a modal to allow the user to enter the information to become a member. Once received an validated, it would airdrop them a DCL wearable.
3. INTERNAL DATABASE. Create an internal database of our Reward Members to be able to see the registration information provided. Emails, names and Ethereum wallet addresses would only be available to Metaskins and can only be given out upon an approved DAO Proposal. However general data such as general statistics could be available to be shared to Holy Ones Holders. Ideally it would be best to have it programmed to generate statistics for holders to be able to access in order to assist with ideas for future game creation, marketing strategies and more.
4. INTERNAL CURRENCY. Reward points would be an internal currency (for now, referred herein as “reward points”) therefore it will not have the ability to be traded. You can only earn them by playing our games and it cannot be transferred player to player. This prevents users who use multiple wallets to be able to stack their reward points in both wallets while also allowing us the opportunity to do special promotions that would deter people from using multiple wallets in the future. For clarity they could sign up multiple wallets with us, but it wouldn’t make sense to because the reward points cannot be transferred.
5. REDEMPTION AREA. Create a rewards point redemption area for the Dapp and Decentraland. Reward points would be able to be redeemed for free play, DCL wearables, and more. In decentraland, I would like to create a machine, that allows you to be able to choose the rewards with a picture for each reward. For the Dapp, it would be a reward redemption area showing all the options that can be redeemed. It would be its own section.
6. EARNING REWARD POINTS. Every game would have its own way to earn. We want to make sure this is profitable in the sense that the holy ones dao is covering its overhead costs. An example would be “for every 20 ManaMania tickets bought, you get 1 rewards point. It takes 10 rewards points to get a free ManaMania ticket.” (These numbers are hypothetical).
7. DCL WEARABLE. Make an exciting Decentraland Wearable that represents the newly signed up member as a VIP Holy Ones Rewards Member. Many people like following the trends. Let’s make this wearable airdropped to them when they sign up. The drippier we can make this wearable; the more people will wear it.
8. CONTEST #1 FOR HOLY ONES NFT OWNERS. This contest will take place in July 2022 (date could be changed). This contest would be to choose the best name for the Rewards Member Program Name. Some examples are Hallmark calling their rewards program “Crown Rewards” or MGM who calls their rewards program “M life Rewards.” A good reminder for rewards points name is the mission you are trying to accomplish. I personally think we want to give them “status” as a reward member - keep that in mind while deciding on a name. Create a temporary channel called Contest #1 and allow people to submit their name ideas there. Contest Administrator would take all the submissions and create a proposal in Snapshot for Holy One Members to vote on the name. The person who comes up with the chosen name will be rewarded 20 MANA.
9. CONTEST #2 FOR HOLY ONES NFT OWNERS. This contest will take place in August 2022 (date could be changed). Contest #2 would be a contest to name the reward points. Obviously reward points is straightforward, but I feel we can be a little bit more creative rather than “Holy Reward Points.” Think of it as something you would want to collect or as a name of a currency. Create a temporary channel called Contest #2 and allow people to submit their name ideas there. Contest Administrator would take all the submissions and create a proposal in Snapshot for Holy One Members to vote on the rewards point currency name. The person who comes up with the chosen name will be rewarded 20 MANA.
10. CONTEST #3 FOR HOLY ONES NFT OWNERS. This contest will take place in September 2022 (date could be changed). This contest would be deciding the best Decentraland wearable concept for the new Membership Rewards program. This is what would be airdropped to new members of the reward program (whatever we decide to call it). Create a temporary channel called Contest #2 and allow people to submit their name ideas there. Contest Administrator would take all the submissions and create a proposal in Snapshot for Holy One Members to vote on the best concept design. The person who comes up with the chosen DCL wearable concept will be rewarded 20 MANA.
11. CONTEST ADMINISTRATOR. I am hoping Nick, Jellyblob or Ms. Dinklepuff would be willing to take on the task of keeping track of the submissions to these contests and then be willing to create a snapshot proposal at the end of the deadline. If not, I volunteer myself to administer the contests.
12. ADVERTISING. I would like to have a Billboard or design in decentraland that has the call-to-action of becoming a rewards member.
13. DEVELOPMENT. Hire Metaskins team to develop and implement this rewards program for all our current games. Future Games will be needed to clarify whether the rewards program will be implemented or not. Current games release times shall not be effected by this rewards program, but may have to be implemented at a later date. If this entire proposal is approved, it will only be enacted contingent on part 2 of this proposal is also approved. Proposal part 2 will only be created if this proposal is approved and the topics of part 2 of the proposal mostly cover the topic of development implementation costs.

OBSTACLES The cost of the implementation of this rewards program is not known completely due to development costs. However, the second part of this proposal must be approved before any of this proposal can initiate.

CONCLUSION I believe I covered most aspects of creation of a Membership rewards program for players of Holy Games. This is a really good investment for the Holy Ones NFT to be able to get means of contacting players and other membership details, while also rewarding players for loyalty to the Holy games. I added contests to give everyone a voice and to create community engagement. This program will incentivize players to continue playing our games organically.
